Our long standing Company Member of the British Business Group in Lao PDR, VG Enterprises, has recently opened its VG Mart on Sokpaluang Road in Vientiane. BBGL Executive Secretary, Seng Xayaphrakassa, and former Chair, John Cockcroft, paid a visit earlier in July.
VG Mart supplies a vast selection of foods and other household consumables to its target expatriate customer base with regular shipments of products brought in from the United Kingdom and elsewhere every few months in both refrigerated and non-refrigerated containers. There is a wide selection of goods available, including some that have become popular while you have been away from your home country and which you may not have seen before. Owner, Vijay Wadhwani, is always open to telling you about his stock and hearing suggestions to bring in your favourite products and popular brands that have wide appeal, and to consider including them in his next shipment to Laos.
Pay a visit to Vijay next time you are grocery shopping and give him your ideas. He has an office above VG Mart. He is always open to advice. The Wadwhani family are heavily engaged in business in Vientiane and are proprietors of the Grand Hotel and also recently, high quality apartment accommodation.
