Wattanakorn International School (WIS) inspire a passion for learning and foster a vibrant, inclusive community. Established in 2010, WIS began its educational journey with the renowned Montessori curriculum, attracting families seeking a distinguished international education in Laos.
As one of the few schools offering this program at the time, WIS quickly became a trusted choice for kindergarten education. Due to a growing demand WIS expanded into a primary school in 2018, starting with Grades 1 to 3. Today, they are serving students up to Grade 9 for the 2025–2026 academic year, marking a significant milestone in their growth.
WIS are committed to providing a holistic and globally recognised education. Their curriculum integrates the prestigious Cambridge International framework for both primary and secondary levels, alongside the Lao program to honour and preserve our students’ cultural heritage. As a registered and accredited Cambridge Exam Centre, WIS prepares students for key examinations, including Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS, and A Level qualifications.
Their academic offerings include core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, and ICT, complemented by enriching programs in Music, Art, Chinese, Physical Education, and Dance. This balanced approach ensures students are well-equipped for future success.
Looking ahead, WIS is excited to launch the IGCSE program in the 2026–2027 academic year. Under dynamic new leadership and with a dedicated team of newly recruited educators, WIS are building a centre of academic excellence and a nurturing community for students and families. Modern, state-of-the-art facilities are undergoing significant upgrades, including advanced Science Laboratories, a swimming pool, a music room, an ICT lab, a library, and more, all designed to enhance the learning experience.
